The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features the love birds, Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Divergent launch new posters (both decently solid), Transformers: Age of Extinction finally unveils Optimus Prime, and Oculus doubles down with a new trailer & new poster!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has a new featurette on the relationship and humor of the new film, which is kinda nice, since those were the best parts of the original film. The action should be fine since they no doubt spent more money than GOD on the sequel, so the CGI and such should be top notch, but the actual acting stuff and writing is what will really make or break the film, so it’s good to see the film is mostly keeping those elements up to par.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America: The Winter Soldier has a new character poster for the villain, The Winter Soldier, and he overall looks pretty badass, though I question his use of knee pads. He’s a badass super soldier with a metal arm and face paint and long hair (oh my!), and yet he wears knee pads. I’m cooler than him. I don’t even where my knee pads when I’m roller blading.
Good Lord, I hope those birds on this new poster for Divergent are significant to the plot, like the Mockingjays in The Hunger Games. These movies are already so boring, stupid and interchangeable, that would just make my day.
Transformers: Age of Extinction
Transformers: Age of Extinction finally has a full trailer, and it is a DOOZY. So basically Marky Mark is a mechanic, which qualifies him to fix a truck that just so happens to be Optimus Prime. And Opti (I have a cute nickname for him, much like he calls me Future Food – apparently Transformers look at our bones and see the potential for them to one day turn into oil, which they then consume – they’re basically robot vampires) wakes up just in time to save Marky’s daughter, the babe of the film, and then he punches a robot dinosaur.
Yep. It’s a Michael Bay movie.
Okay, so I’m a bad person. I saw this poster for Oculus and I thought it was really freaky, but then I took a closer look and it was just that little red headed girl’s face. Whoops.
