Possible casting/villain news for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a GI Joe Retaliation International Trailer, a pic from Evil Dead and a behind the scenes featurette for Rise of the Guardians.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2, or as I like to call it, the More Amazing Spider-Man, may be honing in on its villain. Jamie Foxx is said to be in talks to play the bad guy for the sequel, and he might be portraying Electro. There are a few reports of this, and Foxx tweeted that he wore an Electro costume for Halloween and it fit pretty well. Considering all the films he’s making lately, from Django Unchained as a freed slave turned bounty hunting badass to his turn as the President in that Channing Tatum turdfest, Foxx is definitely spicing things up, and that can only be good for him. I’d like to see Ben Kingsley play The Vulture, but he’s busy playing the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, so I guess Foxx as Electro could work. He’s certainly an interesting choice.

GI Joe: Retaliation

I don’t even know what to say about GI Joe: Retaliation. It was supposed to come out in June, then got delayed to be converted into 3D, then they shot some more stuff to add more Channing Tatum. I don’t know. Maybe it’ll be good? No, that doesn’t sound right…

Evil Dead

Evil Dead has revealed its Necronomicon, and it looks pretty good I suppose. There’s the human flesh cover, just like my copy of The Notebook, and there’s a guy who wants to suck your soul’s penis, which can only be good, and there’s a lizard drawing, also good.

So it has it all.

Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians has a new behind the scenes featurette that discusses some of the technical achievements of the film, specifically the way they made the Sandman in the film look so good. Or more specifically, how they made his sand quite beautiful. Oddly enough, this is worth a look, and makes me want to see the film more.
