Mood Indigo (2013)

mood indigo

Mood Indigo is an indie drama, in FRENCH (holy cow), about a woman without a lot of luck who meets the man of her dreams only to be diagnosed with a rare flower-based sickness. Why am I covering this, you ask? READ ON BITCHES.

Well, basically it’s because the film stars Audrey Tautou and it’s being directed by Michel Gondry. I love both of them, and the trailer (below) is totally a must-watch. This reminds me of some of Gondry’s best stuff, like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Be Kind, Rewind (seriously, that movie is the shit). And it kinda looks like Amelie. So it has that too.

Mood Indigo

Like I said, Mood Indigo comes from awesome director Michel Gondry, though it’s based on a book by Boris Vian and the screenplay is by Luc Bossi, but his work is French so I don’t know if he’s any good.

It’s like these foreigners don’t understand that all of their work needs to be ‘Merican or something.

Um… it’s in French.

Our Clever Prediction

I predict I will like Mood Indigo so much that I’ll build a time machine, go back in time, SLAP myself for not paying more attention during high school French, and then come back to the present and wonder why I didn’t spend all that time that I spent on the time machine just learning French now so I could enjoy Mood Indigo in its native tongue.

You might think I’m overthinking this, but that’s only because your face is STUPID.
