Escape Plan DOESN’T Look Bad? Pacific Rim Too? Despicable Me 2 & Noah Also!

Noah june 271

Escape Plan actually looks like a decent action film, Pacific Rim looks like it might live up to the hype I have for it in my head, Despicable Me 2 continues to charm, and Noah makes a case for being actually useful.

Escape Plan Gets a Trailer

I was expecting Escape Plan to be stupid, and it sort of is, but I wasn’t expecting it to be entertaining as well, and I didn’t think Schwarzenegger would be so cool. I am a fool for not believing in the Schwarzenegger. Anyways, the film, which is about a guy who breaks out of prisons as his job, looks really good, and while I think there are aspects of the story that don’t look great, I’m okay with this.

Pacific Rim Gets a Film Clip & TV Spot

Man, Pacific Rim is going to rock. I’ve heard it’s not tracking as well with folks, but not that they’re giving it bad reviews, just that they haven’t heard of it. That’s unfortunate, cause this looks outstanding. First up, we have a film clip that features no robots and yet is outstanding. Charlie Hunnam and Idris Elba facing each other down? Yeah, I’ll take it.

Also, we have a TV spot that continues to make the film look awesome.

Despicable Me 2 Is Getting Rave Reviews

Despicable Me 2 has a couple new TV spots today that focus on the stellar reviews the film is getting, which are apparently calling it one of the funnier films around. I’ll be honest, the trailers do make it look funny. I think there’s a lot of potential here. The first film was charming, and I see a lot of minion action.

I’ve been very curious about Darren Aronofsky’s Noah. I feel he can be pretty hit or miss, but taking on such an epic and, of course, religious story is a pretty daunting undertaking. I think he’s up for the job, but it won’t be an easy task, even at his best. Fortunately, he has an insane cast. Check out the photos below and tell me you don’t think it looks pretty good.
