Pixar film set in Scotland (meaning kilt jokes) revolving around a young princess named Merida, who wants to make a life for herself as an archer and not simply a princess. After a disagreement with her mother, Merida makes a bad decision and she is forced to save the kingdom from a currenlty unspecified evil. This being Scotland, I’m thinking the English.
The film will be directed by Brenda Chapman, who previously directed Prince of Egypt and has contributed story to Cars, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, as well as Chicken Run.
Who’s It For?
With Pixar, PG is likely as rough as it will get. Expect it to appeal to everyone.

Who’s In It?
Reese Witherspoon… Princess Merida
Billy Connolly… King Fergus
Emma Thompson… Queen Elinor
Julie Walters… Witch
Think Pixar, so UP, Wall-e, The Incredibles, and the best films of the next few years.
What’s Good About It?
Pixar consistently provides one of the best movie experiences of the year. Director Brenda Chapman has the credentials to make the film a resounding success.
What’s Bad About It?
It’s Pixar, so nothing. Unless you hate Scotland. Which for a time I did, until I realized that Mike Myers’ fat bastard is not an accurate depiction of their culture. Braveheart is much more accurate.
