The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has some exceptional new photos, Walk of Shame has a bland trailer, 300: Rise of an Empire slays me, and The Quiet Ones launches a new trailer!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has a new set of pics today, and they overall look really good. They seem a bit Instagramy to me, as they’re darker than the trailers, but I really like the photos in general. The only one I’m not happy with is the one of Spider-Man and Harry Osborne in a swanky apartment. It really looks an awful lot like images from the original Spider-Man trilogy, so I’d have hoped for something more original. Otherwise it’s solid.
Walk of Shame
Walk of Shame has released its first trailer, and it’s rather bland. I like the parts with Elizabeth Banks acting slutty, since I want her to get slutty with me, but the rest of it is just paint by numbers. This is the kind of film that really is dependent on the charm of the leads, and Banks and James Marsden seem capable of pulling off their roles. Honestly, this is bland enough to make me believe it could be successful.
300: Rise of an Empire
300: Rise of an Empire has a new poster today that shows star Sullivan Stapleton in an executioner’s pose. It looks okay, though I feel like that’s 99% of what I’ve seen from the film thus far: okay. Yeah, there are some nice look visuals in the trailers, and I imagine the action is going to be awesome as hell, but it’s nothing we haven’t seen before. I want more from the sequel, so I hope there are some new tricks up their sleeves that’ll really get us going when the film comes out this March
The Quiet Ones
The Quiet Ones has a new trailer that is fairly scary, but it really makes me believe the film could be more successful than a lot of other horror films due to the cast and apparent quality of the film. Yeah, they’re not huge stars, but Sam Claflin and Jared Harris are talented guys and are absolutely elevating the film with their performances. That said, the story itself looks good, I like the period piece aspect of it, and honestly it just looks scary. Good stuff.
