The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, 300: Rise of an Empire, How to Train Your Dragon 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past all reveal new images, and 22 Jump Street launches its first trailer!

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has a new poster today that gives a nice view of the mountain of gold and the slithery, slimey dragon underneath all those sweet coins. It certainly gives an impression of the size of the cavern. Much like yo’ momma’s cavernous snatch, it’s big.

300: Rise of an Empire

300: Rise of an Empire has a new poster featuring Leonidas’ wife, played by Lena Headey. She returns for the sequel, demanding the Spartans avenge her husband’s death and protect Sparta. No doubt they do. I mean, we’re not Persians, are we?

How to Train Your Dragon 2

How to Train Your Dragon 2 will apparently costar Cate Blanchett. She plays what appears to be an animated version of herself. So… a somewhat aging but still hot lady. And she appears to have her own dragon. JUST like Cate Blanchett in real life!

X-Men: Days of Future Past

X-Men: Days of Future Past has a new photo from the cover of some weird ass magazine, and it shows that of all the people of moderate importance in the next X-Men film, none will compare with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. As it should be. Cause Wolverine is a badass. The biggest problem with First Class was the minimal involvement of Wolvie.

Also, check out the future war armor. Not bad, I suppose, but what I see is metal claws. SPOILER ALERT: if you saw The Wolverine you’d know he had bone claws at the end. What gives?

22 Jump Street

22 Jump Street has a new trailer! And I have to start by saying that I wholeheartedly agree with Jonah Hill (there’s always a first time) when he says he won’t be taking a shit the whole time they’re in college because of the coed bathroom. WHO CAN POOP WHEN LADIES ARE PRESENT?

I can barely poo when I’M present.

I do like the way they reference their own luck with the first film in, you know, being successful and stuff. This is actually going quite well for them and the sequel looks solid. I think they’re doing a great job thus far of reminding us of the funny stuff from the original and also bringing up at least a few new jokes. Hopefully it’ll all be this good.
