The Walking Dead sucked last night

So the best show on TV took a turn for the worse last night, and I’m still a little steamed about it today. Episode 3 was, pathetic.

The Walking Dead

What just happened to this series? How did they let the writing fail so miserably. We love the show because we can accept certain things, like Zombies… and other far fetched variables. But, to suggest the convoy would head to the hills outside Atlanta with the car alarm still screaming away is just idiotic.

Glenn is driving the Camaro, and he’s one of the brightest in the group. He understands how the ‘Walkers’ work, and how the noise attracts them. Why did they allow him to drive with the car alarm to the hills, willingly attracting attention? Everyone knows car alarms don’t work like this anyways, so why throw this in?

For a series known for its writing, I really was unimpressed with the turn The Walking Dead made last night. Lets talk about Rick Grimes, and how odd the writers took advantage of us him. Why would he so willingly head back to Atlanta after searching this long for his family? To get his pack of guns, for Merle f’n Dison? There are guns available in lots of places, including the tank he was trapped in.

Why aren’t they stealing military vehicles and using those instead? Where there is gas, there is Diesel, so whats the deal? Why not hop in a loader and make a huge ditch, filled with spikes, so the stupid zombies fall to their death? Why would you leave Sarah Wayne Callies, your son.. and safety to venture back to the hell you just came from? Why would they tell Daryl Dixon the truth about his brother?

They are losing a bit of the story here, and I don’t understand why. I hope it rebounds in the next episode, because the action and adventure are what makes this a terrific series.

What was with the enlightening scene by the water, where the women confided for the missing of their vibrators? Really? You lost everyone you love that lived near you, and this is what you reflect on?

Yes, The Walking Dead still rocks, but lets hope they pay a little more attention to the details and spice it a up a bit more.
