Contestants on this game show choose songs, then take center stage to sing along with a studio band, karaoke-style, as lyrics are projected on a screen. At a certain point, however, the band stops playing, and the lyrics disappear, forcing the contestant to belt out the next part of the lyric on his own. If he manages a successful response without freezing up under pressure, he has to decide whether to “Stay & Play” or “Take the Money & Run.” After singing nine songs correctly, the contestant receives a final No. 1 hit with a missing lyric. If he nails it, he walks away with a cool $1 million.
