Puss in Boots tells the tale of a zit on my back that popped and flew into footwear. Way better than a movie about a cat with a sword. Oddly, it would make less money that the Shrek spin-off.
Antonio Banderas will reprise his role as Puss (in Boots!) for this, the fifth theatrical release in the Shrek universe. The film is to be directed by Chris Miller, who co-directed Shrek the Third and has a long history as an artist/writer/voice actor for animated films. Seeing as the Shrek films make lots of money, and Antonio Banderas’ sexy voice really drives kids wild (?) I’m sure the latest will be huge.
Puss in Boots Script
The film will be written primarily by Brian Lynch, David H. Steinberg. Tom Wheeler, and Jon Zack, but animated films are usually a more collaborative process for writing, so this many chefs in the kitchen isn’t all that uncommon or even bad. The story will serve as a prequel to Puss’ entry into the Shrek universe with Shrek 2. No doubt fertile story ground.

What’s Good About It?
Kid’s films these days don’t suck. Of course, this isn’t Pixar, but Dreamworks is second in line after the greatest film studio of all time.
What’s Bad About It?
Spin-off of a minor character from a sequel to a kid’s film. Nope. It’s all good.
Our Clever Prediction
Not as big a box office as one would expect, but it’ll still make tons. Antonio Banderas will step aside and let me marry Salma Hayek, enter wife number two. You better be paying attention, I’m not recapping all my future ex-wives.
