Only God Forgives is director Nicolas Winding Refn and star Ryan Gosling’s followup to the extremely awesome Drive. This time, Gosling plays a British gangster who escapes from some trouble in Britain by going to Thailand, where he gets into a Thai-boxing match with a Thai Police officer.
That is such a weird plot description, yet it is exactly what I can find out about the story. Apparently, Gosling’s character is an ex-boxer, so he has some background in fisticuffs, but I don’t think he knows too much about kickboxing (see photos below).
There aren’t a ton of other details available at present, but Drive was so awesome I’m sure a super duper film will come from this basic premise.

What’s Good About It?
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed Drive. I came out of the theater and immediately texted a buddy and told him it was the best film I’d seen last year. I have extremely high hopes for Only God Forgives.
What’s Bad About It?
So far I have no problems with Only God Forgives.
Our Clever Prediction
I don’t think Drive made buckets of cash, but I also don’t think it cost too much, and it was one of Ryan Goslings better performances. Very understated and badass. That is a good combination. Just look at me.
