Wild Hogs is a story about a middle-aged group of buddies who go on an adventure on their motorbikes, only to find trouble and love along the way.

I was under the assumption that Wild Hogs would be just like every other “comedy” I have rented lately. Sure, the freckled albino at the local Blockbuster recommends every disaster he sends me out the door with, but when was the last time you even chuckled at a comedy?

While it was predictable like so many others, it also offered a few laughs. A few laughs I haven’t had in some time.

“Any Which Way But Loose” meets “Old School”

The plot is simple enough, a few middle aged friends go on a much needed road trip. Along the way they get into trouble with local bikers led by Ray Liotta. Corny, sure. Funny? Yeah, a little bit.

William H. Macy steals the show. His character “Dudley Frank” is where most of the humor is derived from. Listen, the movie isn’t going to be nominated for any awards, but if you want a decent hour and a half to spend, Wild Hogs is a decent way to spend it.

In real life, would a girl like Marisa Tomei fall for a guy like Willam H Macy? Probably not, but it works in this film.

The real laughter is when the local biker gang, led by Liotta, is hell bent on making an example of the Wild Hogs.

An entertaining comedy with an allstar cast. Wild Hogs was one of the funnier movies in 2007.
