The Hangover Movie Review

The Hangover is a 2009 comedy based on the premise of a bachelor party gone wrong in the world famous city of Las Vegas.

The Hangover

The truth is, The Hangover is funny and pretty entertaining for the entire film. It’s not the situations that are overly funny or entertaining, but rather the characters in the film.

Zach Galifianakis , Ed Helms and Bradley Cooper are all funny in their own special way. Its the classic script of a bunch of friends, each with their own unique characteristics that make them special. The nerd, the stud, the weirdo and the responsible character all combine for some pretty good laughs.

When the friends are accidentally drugged the night they go out on the town, they find themselves without a clue what happened the next morning. All they know is the groom is missing, one is now married, and they discover a baby, and a tiger, in their Vegas penthouse.

As they try to unravel what exactly happened the night before, they must find the missing groom and get him back in time for his wedding the next day.

The Hangover then takes us on a journey into the missing details of what exactly happened to them all, including an encounter with Mike Tyson.

The Laughs

The Hangover had quite a few laughs, with memorable little moments along the way. Ken Jeong steals the show with his ‘crazy Asian’ character and even displays his penis for all of his to point and laugh at.

Still, my favorite character was Alan Garner, played by Zach Galifianakis. The oddball future brother-in-law steals the show with his lack of words and unusual behavior.

I also enjoyed the fact that Heather Graham doesn’t take herself too seriously in life, and plays the role of a prostitute/stripper perfectly, even whipping her boob out to breastfeed. Bless you Heather.

Why should I watch The Hangover?

If you are looking for a funny movie night, The Hangover is the perfect movie.

What’s bad about The Hangover

The comedy comes at a price, so bare with the outrageous situations and just buy into the plot.
