This is a departure from Foster’s signature psychological thrillers, but is completely in line with her ability as a versatile actress.In The Brave One she portrays Erica Bain, an off-beat radio talk-show host in New York City. Erica is completely besotted with her fiancé David Kirmani (Naveen Andrews), and he by her, and nothing else in the world matters more to them than each other.One fateful night the couple runs into some unexpected trouble in the park. The event changes Erica’s life forever. She emerges from her harrowing ordeal a different person; something inside of her dies and she assumes another persona. Revenge is her mantra and she will stop at nothing to seek street justice.Terrence Howard plays the tough, but fair, Detective Mercer. Together Erica Bain and Detective Mercer strive towards justice from opposite ends. This heart-wrenching action thriller is delivered at a furious pace.
