Unable to cope with a recent personal tragedy, LA’s top celebrity shrink turns into a pothead with no concern for his appearance and a creeping sense of his inability to help his patients.
The Truth
Shrink reminded me, in many ways, of American Beauty. Kevin Spacey takes on the role of a man who is at a time in his life when things are falling apart and he’s desperately trying to rediscover himself while battling a few inner demons.
This time around, we watch as Spacey tries to help a beautiful young girl, free of charge, but discovers her set of problems are much more complicated and different seeing she is from the Hollywood Hills area.
So once again we have Spacey and a beautiful young girl, but once again it works. Shrink has enough humor to satisfy even the most fickle movie watchers, and story moves along fast enough to keep your interests high.

The Verdict
Shrink is a Dark drama that, in the end, delivers a very realistic and wonderful journey into the minds of a fantastic variety of characters, I highly recommend it.
