Ingredients for an old fashioned night of movie watching.

5. Snacks, Drinks : Check
The undead, bullets, a sexy machete yielding warrior who looks better covered in body parts than makeup. Ah yes, its Resident Evil time.. and Extinction was on my priority list. Well then, looks like I had all the ingredients to enjoy Resident Evil Extinction, so what did I think of the newest addition to this movie franchise?
The Plot : Survivors of the Raccoon City catastrophe travel across the Nevada desert, hoping to make it to Alaska. Alice (Mila Jovovich) joins the caravan and their fight against the evil Umbrella Corp. Ali Larter {Heroes, Final Destination, Marigold}is excellent as the gun yielding Claire Redfield, leader of the caravan.
The Action : Non stop! Extinction keeps you on your toes from start to finish. If the undead don’t get you, the birds will.
Memorable Scenes : I loved the special effects, the zombies looked incredible. The moment where the show the Las Vegas strip covered in sand was spectacular, and unforgettable.
At one point in the movie a fuel truck barrels through an enormous crowd of zombies, and lands on its side. Moments later, hundreds of zombies are being tossed around the air after the tanker blows up.
The Verdict : Best Resident Evil yet!
Notes: The director has hinted that there will be another sequel, as evident at the end of the movie. Will there be dozens of “Alices” searching for the evil Umbrella corp?

Evil has come back for a terrifying encore

Alice (Jovovich) returns as the heroine in the latest installment of this high-octane trilogy. Resident Evil: Extinction – the film adaptation of the popular video game, provides swashbuckling action and gore galore.
This film will have purists of the genre licking their lips in glee: it’s fast and furious and it lends a certain authenticity to its namesake. For horror fans, there is plenty of blood and guts in this one. Zombies continue to plague the deserts of the mid-West and survivors of the Raccoon City outbreak need to find a safe haven.
The iniquitous Umbrella Corporation, led by rogue scientists, is seeking to reign in Alice, for laboratory tests. The survivors of the scourge begin traversing the barren wastelands in search of untainted territory. They believe that in Alaska they will be able to carve out a new future, away from the evil.
Jovovich is in fine form in this action adventure. Although the characters lack depth, Resident Evil: Extinction must be appreciated for what it is: a cinematic rehash of a superb video game.
