A Las Vegas cabbie enlists the help of a UFO expert to protect two siblings with paranormal powers from the clutches of an organization that wants to use the kids for their nefarious plans.
The Truth
I loved the original film as a young 4 year old, it was the first Science Fiction I had ever watched. Race to Witch Mountain (Check out our official coverage of the film) was a wickedly good adaptation of the original, and The Rock was really decent in the film.
Some people dislike Dwayne Johnson for taking on more roles in kids movies, I don’t mind it at all. He is what he is, a big loaf who has a giant onscreen presence, I can deal with that.
Anyways, this story never gets old to me, Aliens, a few fight scenes and car chases normally is all it takes to get me interested in a movie. Without spoiling the film too much, the world has to be saved, and they have to save themselves from the FBI, the aliens and themselves.
The Action
Lots of action and great special effects as well.
The Laughs
Its a Disney film, and enough laughs poked at The Rock to pass the time.
What’s good about it?
Aliens, The Rock, Remaking movies from the 70’s, the special effects, the action.
What’s bad about it?
Not much, just a few questions left unanswered such as :

The Verdict
Race to Witch Mountain was a fantastic remake of the 1975 movie, I recommend it for the entire family, or just a movie night for adults.
