I was really excited to see Hot Fuzz, after all, Simon Pegg is a rising star. His role in Shaun of the Dead still cracks me up.

Hot Fuzz Review

However, keeping in my beliefs that movie reviews should be short and to the point, this entire film was disappointing. To be fair, the film minus ten minutes, was mostly boring and unfunny.

There was no original laughs, the cliche’s were old and the writers couldn’t pull anything original together. The final few minutes of the film were decent enough, I don’t know why they couldn’t pull together a little more laughs along the way.

The funny parts you saw on the trailer, or commercial? That was the entire collection of laughs, there was hardly anything at all unique. The final battle in the town was entertaining, but perhaps only because the rest of the movie was so dull.

I watched the “Outtakes” on the DVD, and this was by far the funniest part of the movie, and most entertaining.

Hot Fuzz is a last minute rental. I wouldn’t get too excited about this release.

Hot Fuzz was brutal, I agree. Maybe if these English blokes weren’t so ugly, the film would have been better. Honestly, whenever they smile and I have to see their rotten teeth, I turn away.

I thought it was going to be funny, but it wasn’t at all.

The movie sucked. The studios hype you up so much, and play all the good parts on the trailers and commercials.

I don’t understand why they keep casting Simon Pegg as a tough guy. He’s a scrimpy little nerd, that doesn’t strike the fear into anyone. Or is this British humor?

Its “Raw” British Humor, and I don’t get it.
