Mike (Matt Long) is a small-town star athlete who is the first in his family to attend college, receiving a football scholarship to prestigious Northwestern University. When he returns home over Christmas break to the people he left behind – his family and friends – they are all surprised to see him with a new girlfriend, Elizabeth (Jessica Stroup), a pretty rich girl from Chicago. No one is more shocked than Mike’s homecoming queen ex-girlfriend, Shelby (Mischa Barton), who immediately wants to be rid of Elizabeth and plots to take care of the problem.
The Truth
Homecoming is a pretty dark and dirty Drama that Mischa Barton does a good job in. She brings to life a very sexy, and jealous young woman who will stop at nothing to get her ex-boyfriend back.
Jessica Stroup plays the new girlfriend, and is wonderful in the role and Matt Long plays the role of the victim pretty well. I mean, who would complain about having these two babes fighting over your love?
What’s good about it?
Mischa Barton brings out a side of her I haven’t really seen. She plays a bitch to perfection, I liked her in this film.
The Verdict
Homecoming sort of snuck by a lot of us, but don’t let that stop you from checking it out, its a pretty good flick with lots of star power. Check it out.
