The story of an outlaw biker gang and their pursuit to clear up unfinished business. The movie stars Michael Madsen { Reservoir Dogs }, Larry Bishoop {Kill Bill}, Leonor Varela{Blade II }. Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones (Snatch, Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels) star as tough-as-nails bikers avenging the death of a loved one by the hands of a sadistic, rival motorcycle gang.
The Truth
Hell Ride is a Quentin Tarantino film, with a throwback to the 70’s biker movies that the audiences once fell in love with. We get aquainted with The Victors, a badass ensemble of nasty vigilantes lead by Larry Bishop. Notorios biker character actor Michael Madsen stars as The Gent, the calm but vicious second in command.
The film has many, if not too many, references to previous Tarantino and Bishops previous collections of work. Some will find this distracting, if not painful, although I didn’t really mind as much.
The Action
Hell Ride has a ton of action, nude biker babes and enough right hooks to satisy my needs. Slashing throats, bullets flying and nude women wrestling in oil. Goodness, it doesn’t get a lot better than this.
The Verdict
Hell Ride isn’t for everyone, those who demand a perfect storyline or dialogue will hate this film from start to finish. Those who can handle the imperfections and appreciate the odd, yet original, production and movie madness, will enjoy it. Hell Ride hits stores October 28th!
While I won’t say it was a “Hell of a Ride”, Hell Ride did provoke the senses enough to give it a passing grade.
