Breaking Point (2009) Review

Dudley 'Booger' Dawson January 5, 2010 0

“Breaking Point” is a dramatic tale of corruption and self-realization, in which one man has to overcome a deep seeded conspiracy and his own lingering past in order to gain the redemption he desires.

The Truth

Tom Berenger and Busta Rhymes put together a pretty decent performance in this action film.

Steven Luisi (Tom Berenger), a once prominent criminal defense attorney is attempting to come back to the profession after a struggle with drug addiction and a family tragedy. Steven stumbles into a complex, high profile murder case. While trying to solve the case Steven teams up with an ex-athlete turned gang member, Richard “Beanz” Allen ( “Sticky Fingaz” Jones). Together they seek to reveal the truth and bring about justice in the court and on the street.

The Action

Breaking Point had enough action to keep my attention.

Why should I watch it?

If you are looking for a decent drama/crime film that flew under the radar, Breaking Point is perfect.

The Verdict

Tom Berrenger is still a terrific actor, and Busat Rhymes plays the gangsta role perfectly, Breaking Point is a worthy DVD to check out if you are looking for something different this January 2010. Breaking Point hits the DVD market January 12th!
