This weeks movie news and rumours includes gossip about Star Trek, Batman 3, Tron Legacy and much more! Did this teaser get you all excited? I hope so, its all I can do. What if I told you I also have news on Ghost Rider 2 and Captain America? I knew that would do the trick, so grab a coffee and read the movie happenings that you will most certainly find interesting.

Star Trek

Looks like they could be casting a female Vulcan for the lead role for the new Star Trek Movie. According to this NY Times Article, JJ Abrams let the cat out of the bag, or in this case, the Vulcan!

Captain America

All is fine, filming is moving along in the upcoming Captain America Movie, but guess who doesn’t have a cameo? Stan Lee. {Comic Book Movie}. Although we think The First Avenger will probably suck, at least it isn’t in 3D. Oh right, it is in 3D, it is going to suck.

The Host 2

The first movie The Host (duh) was great, so we are pumped to hear The Host 2 will hit theaters in 2012. Yup, its in 3D. [Source]

Ghost Rider: The Spirit of Vengeance

Ghost Rider 2 doesn’t inspire a lot of excitement in me, but it’s winding up shooting in Romania right now. Of course, The Spirit of Vengeance is in 3D, I mean… they have to have a new angle for this terrible franchise. If you speak Romanian, read more about the new Ghost Rider movie, or check out this English coverage if you are picky and can’t be bothered to learn a new language.

Fantastic Voyage 3-D:

Looks like James Cameron is going ahead with the remake of Fantastic Voyage 3-D. The Hollywood Reporter is also saying Cameron is producing with his Lightstorm Entertainment partner Jon Landau.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island

Remember hearing about the upcoming movie Journey To The Center Of The Earth? It doesn’t hit theaters until 2011, but they are already planning a sequel in 2012, starring The Rock and Kristen Davis.

More movie updates shortly! If you have any movie news, gossip or whatever, drop us a line.
