The Campaign

The Campaign has a new film clip that both focuses on Will Ferrell’s Cam Brady AND is funny. True wonders never cease. Anyways, in the clip you see Cam Brady seeking campaign donations, and it shows what he’s willing to do to get some money to win the election. I can’t believe a part of this film without Zach Galifianakis is funny. What the heck?

Skyfall

Skyfall has not one, but TWO new trailers. They show essentially all the same footage, but in a bit of a different order, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. What’s very cool about them is they give a bit more info on the villain of the films, played by Javier Bardem. It looks like he’s a blend of an ex-007 type mixed with the Joker from The Dark Knight. He’s smart and capable blah blah, but his freakishly blond hair makes him weird looking, which is in line with James Bond’s other villains. I’m really excited for this film now.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part Two has a bunch of new photos today, and they are DYNAMITE. And by dynamite I mean they blow up.

They blow. I’M TRYING TO SAY I DO NOT LIKE THEM. Seriously, let’s all get in our vampire/werewolf getups and have some glamour shots taken. WHEEEE. Stupid. They could at least have stills from the film or something.

John Leguizamo

For some reason it’s been decided today that John Leguizamo should get some work. I don’t have a problem with this in theory, as he’s not a half bad actor on occasion, but it’s still weird.

First up, Leguizamo has been cast in Kick-Ass 2 as the bodyguard of Christopher Mintz-Plasse’s bad guy Red Mist. I read the comics, and I don’t remember his character, Javier, but they’re kinda dumb comics so I’m not all that worried about it.

Second, and much cooler, is that Leguizamo has been cast in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film The Counselor. He’s playing a drug dealer in the film, which is about a lawyer who thinks he can make some money in the drug business without getting dragged under. Guess how THAT works out for him.

All in all, a good day for Leguizamo.

Paranorman

Paranorman has a new TV spot that aired during the Olympics, and while it says nothing whatsoever about the film, it is actually really creative and funny. This gives me more hope for the film than the trailers. So… good stuff.
