Thor: The Dark World

Thor: The Dark World is apparently in need of quite a few villains, as Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has been cast as both Algrim and Kurse in the new film. In the comics Algrim is a villain, powerful and all that, who at a certain point develops amnesia and more power, thus turning into Kurse. He’s betrayed by main villain Malekith when he gets hurt and develops amnesia. It’s not clear if they’ll be following this exactly, but I assume it’ll be pretty close.

Resident Evil: Retribution

Resident Evil: Retribution has a couple new TV spots that are cool enough I suppose, though they don’t give away too much. I have to give them credit though, this Resident Evil film looks kinda epic.

The Trouble with the Curve

The Trouble with the Curve has a new TV Spot too, and it’s amazing. Mainly because it’s almost exactly like the trailers, but with less Justin Timberlake. Thank you.

Dredd

Dredd has a new TV spot as well, and it really made me think…

THAT DREDD IS AWESOME! I am the law in my town too. Do you think he’d want to hang out? Get a drink? Talk to some girls? Maybe we could fight a short war with drug dealers before a Yankees game or something. But I don’t live in New York… This will never work.

The Avengers

The DVD and Blu Ray for The Avengers is coming out soon, and more videos from the behind the scenes stuff on the discs is out today. This time it deals with Captain America and Hulk. I have to give them credit with The Avengers, Chris Evans was actually not a half bad Cap in it. That’s one hell of a feat. For reals.

Red 2 has a new poster, and it’s pretty darn red. And smoky. And silhouette-y. And is Helen Mirren wearing a duster on the left?

Cause those are just like normal jackets, except far cooler and more badass.

Looper

Looper has a new poster that’s actually really cool. I’m still torn on Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s makeup, especially as he doesn’t look like Bruce Willis from 20 years ago, which I would think is the point, but it’s still pretty cool poster and cool-looking film.

The Man with the Iron Fists has a new picture of super hot babe Jamie Chung. The picture itself isn’t very hot, but she is, so I’ll accept it. On the plus side, I think she plays a prostitute/assassin, so she might be both hot and badass in the new film.

Passion

Are you ready for lesbians? (sing that with the football song)

Actually, to be fair I don’t really understand Passion all that well, but I get the impression it’s sorta like 50 Shades of Gray but with lesbians. Sounds like a good movie, but it’s just strange. I guess Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace are attracted to each other, and it’s in a somewhat ‘crazy obsessive’ way, but then there’s a mask and love and stuff and it’s weird. The first part of this trailer makes it seem like McAdams is stalking Rapace, but then it appears to turn around. I don’t know. It’s probably awesome.
