A new TV Spot for This Means War, spoilerish The Dark Knight Rises news, a pic of Riddick, a new trailer and poster for Project X and a poster for The Hunger Games.
This Means War
Normally, when men go to war over a woman, she’s a legendary creature. Like Helen of Troy. Sometimes though, like in This Means War, the guys pick Reese Witherspoon. Why? Because though they’re super handsome dudes in really good shape who really like each other…
I was going to say they have low self esteem, but they might also be hiding their true feelings for one another.
Also, everyone should go to the preview page. Go to the comments and tell me what actress would be MORE worth going to war for other than Reese Witherspoon. I’m currently torn between Betty White and ANY OTHER WOMAN. Who would you pick?
The Dark Knight Rises
Man, kids are stupid. As a perfect example, take Joey King. This young actress (only 13) has recently revealed her part in The Dark Knight Rises. This is pretty big news, as there have been few details thus far for the extremely well-guarded film.
Well-guarded except for the massive fight scenes filmed on the street. We know ALL about those.
But for the story, there haven’t been a ton of deets yet. Miss King did let it slip that she’ll be playing a young Talia al Ghul. There has been no word that an adult version of Talia would be in the film, though it’s long been suspected that Marion Cotillard’s character is secretly Talia. Liam Neeson may also be reprising his role as Ras ah Ghul, most likely through a flashback, but nonetheless, this is interesting news.
I think there’s some creedence to the idea that Bane is part of the League of Shadows from the first film, and perhaps he grew up with Talia. Maybe they’ll be brother and sister in the film! This isn’t in the comics, but it would be interesting to see Bane come back to kill Batman as revenge for letting his dad die in the train at the end of Batman Begins. If you haven’t seen the first film, sorry about that spoiler, but the film has been out a while. You should’ve seen it already.
Also, Bruce Willis is dead in The Sixth Sense. OH SNAP.
Riddick
I knew Riddick was getting close to production, but apparently the film is already being shot. I enjoyed Pitch Black, and Vin Diesel was pretty cool in it, but the second film was utter garbage. The one saving grace of the film is that Diesel is really passionate about the character and making the films. He took a substantial paycut to get Riddick made, and he appears to enjoy playing the role.
The picture, unfortunately, looks stupid.

Project X
I don’t fully know what to make of Project X. On the one hand, it’s a found footage type film, and it’s comedy about a crazy high school party. Both of those things are played out. Boring.
On the other hand, Todd Phillips, who directed The Hangover films and Due Date, is producing the film. I don’t love his stuff, but he’s funny and can help make a film like this better.
The trailer actually made me laugh a few times. That is a good sign.

The Hunger Games
Supposedly this is the final poster for The Hunger Games. At least they make Jennifer Lawrence look pretty.
Oh, but she’s supposed to be in a battle arena TO THE DEATH. How about a little dirt on her smooth cheeks? A little less lipstick. I want realism from my films about children fighting TO THE DEATH. Is that too much to ask?
