New trailers for The Raven, Haywire and Coriolanus, posters for J. Edgar, casting for Paradise Lost and a new poster for Mission Impossible.

The Raven

The Raven actually looks like it’s gonna be a pretty cool movie. I don’t like that the killer is going all Jack the Ripper, but that’s actually more common amongst these psychos that I’d like to think about, so I guess it’s cool.

Haywire

I don’t think Haywire is going to be very good. It’s a basic action film directed by Steven Soderbergh, and it has some good actors, like Michael Fassbender, Ewan McGregor and Michael Douglas. But it also has Channing Tatum, and most importantly it stars Gina Carano. I just can’t believe this could be good.

Coriolanus

Unlike Haywire, Coriolanus looks awesome. Ralph Fiennes is directing and starring, and Gerard Butler and Vanessa Redgrave are costarring. Oh, and it was written by some dude who doesn’t suck. What’s his name again?

J. Edgar

Undoubtedly one of the obvious choices for a couple Academy Awards this year is J. Edgar, and there are a couple new posters up today that look pretty cool. They don’t strike me as particularly special or unique, but they’re cool.

Paradise Lost

Alex Proyas’ Paradise Lost has cast Dominic Purcell in the role of Moloch. Moloch is a fallen angel who sides with Lucifer in his battle against heaven. Sounds like a swell guy.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol

I could have guessed this was a Japanese poster for Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol even without the Japanese language, cause Tom Cruise looks like he belongs in an anime. In short, he looks like a Japanese superhero, which may be what he’s been going for all these years.
