Movie News for The Matrix, Pirates, War Machine, and more!

There’s seriously news about 2 more Matrix films. Cause you all weren’t good last year and Santa wants to punish you.

I know it’s January, so the Christmas reference is a bit out of time, but it’s nuts and I decided to go with Santa. Shut up.

The Matrix

Keanu Reeves was recently promoting a new film and mentioned that he has met with the Wachowskis concerning more Matrix films. While the Wachowskis are currently focused on Cloud Atlas, after that finishes they may end up doing a couple more Matrix films. Reeves said that they have written up a treatment for two more films that would return Neo to the Matrix. Apparently, they’re looking to meet with James Cameron to discuss 3D, and will likely make the films in 3D. Whoopee. I guess it is possible, as The Matrix Revolutions, while a turd of immense proportions, did make over $400 million worldwide, so there’s money to be made.

The Roommate

So The Roommate, starring hot babes (hot babes? I’m in) Minka Kelly and Leighton Meester has a new trailer. If only it was called “The Roommates… Who make love to bloggers.” It would totally be better. At least for me. You’d all be disappointed. And so would Minka and Leighton. As I’m unimpressive.

Alfred Hitchcock

Anthony Hopkins is in talks to play Alfred Hitchcock in Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho. The film is about the time period when Hitchcock made Psycho, and how he was basically the top director in Hollywood and then made a horror film and couldn’t get financing. I guess nobody realized that he was talented. Still, Hopkins as Hitchcock sounds perfect, although whether I’m interested in a movie about Alfred Hitchcock is another story.

War Machine

Did you like Iron Man 2? Well, you might get to see more of Don Cheadle as War Machine as he has mentioned in a recent interview that Marvel has hired writers to adapt the War Machine story for the big screen. No details are known yet, but it’ll likely be more of a war film than the conventional superhero movie, which could be cool.

Pirates of the Caribbean

There’s a new photo from Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. This one shows Ian McShane as Blackbeard. And he’s pointing his sword at someone. I would not want to be that someone. Although I do spend an inordinate amount of time on pirate ships pissing off captains. I have go to stop with all the crack cocaine. It’s making me crazy.

oops, looks like The Matrix news may be BS! Reeves is saying he wasn’t in London and it was an interwebz hoax!

I loved The Matrix. Its a deep film if you care to research the topic material. That being said, it still confuses me to this day, and my head can’t handle any more Matrix movies.
