A new trailer for The Master, a behind the scenes featurette for Resident Evil, a pic from the set of Thor: The Dark World and film clips from The Avengers and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The Master

The Master has a new trailer that really pushes the idea that Scientology is a cult.

Or whatever religion is standing in for Scientology in the film. It’s very interesting to see the ways that Phillip Seymour Hoffman’s character talks and how he phrases things to bring more young men into the fold. Very cool.

Resident Evil: Retribution

Resident Evil: Retribution has a new featurette that gives a bit of info on the story, but more on the extensive number of locations shown in the film, and how many actors are here. It’s actually pretty cool to see how big this world has gotten. Granted, there’s no character development or any of that nonsense, but there’s plenty of badassness, and Milla Jovovich is still one sweet piece of tail.

Thor: The Dark World

I’m not sure if these pics from Thor: The Dark World are of a location that’s supposed to be on Earth, or supposed to be on… The Dark World!!!

The pics show some monolithic statues that are somewhat similar to Stonehenge, so maybe this is where people prayed to the Norse Gods? I don’t know. I’m sure it’ll be awesome, especially if someone gets sacrificed here.

That would be super sweet.

The Avengers

The Avengers has a new film clip from the forthcoming DVD release, and this one shows an alternative opening, and one I’m glad they didn’t ultimately use. I do like Cobie Smulders, but the clip is of her talking about what happens in the film 48 hours after the fact, and how things should have been handled differently. Then, presumably, the film would have gone back to before everything happened and you’d see the film as it was. It’s not a bad way to open a film, and it’s been done before with some success, but I don’t love it. And I DO love the film as it is.

Still, Cobie is… smuldering…

Perks of Being a Wallflower

Perks of Being a Wallflower has a new film clip, and while it does show that Charlie is an outcast and quite lonely, as well as having googly-eyes for Emma Watson (so he’s not stupid at least), it’s also sorta overdone and stupid. How is the main kid talking a wallflower? He’s MAKING A SPEECH IN FRONT OF PEOPLE.

I’ll explain that to the Canadians later, but for you Americans/literates, this is stupid.
