Trailers for The Lone Ranger, Parker and The Guilt Trip, a new pic from A Good Day to Die Hard and a poster for Broken City.
The Lone Ranger
The Lone Ranger has its first trailer, and while it looks good, I worry a bit because of the voice over. If the story is simply about trains, I’m happy. I want this film fairly well grounded. There is that line about controlling time and space though, and while I don’t mind some trippy elements, that sounds too supernatural. I just want a cowboy doing cowboy stuff. Still, looks cool, and they certainly spent a lot of money on it!
Parker
Parker has a new trailer… Holy crap that’s Jennifer Lopez. STOP the presses! Jennifer Lopez is still alive, and she looks pretty good. Also, she’s been relegated to the ‘hot chick’ part in a Jason Statham movie. I’m extremely happy about this. Extremely.
The Guilt Trip
Wow, I literally just published my The Guilt Trip preview yesterday and they came out with a trailer. I’m somewhat disappointed. I thought it would be a really really really bad looking film, and there should be at least 30 more “really’s” in there, and swap out “bad” with “Fucking horrendous.”
I can’t believe I got it so wrong!
A Good Day to Die Hard
A Good Day to Die Hard has a new picture of Bruce Willis’s John McClane and Jai Courtney’s Jack McClane (John’s son). I love how much more badass Willis looks. He’s not even trying. He could literally punch a hole in Jai’s neck with his badassness.
What a cool finisher for a Mortal Combat game!
Broken City
Broken City has a new poster, and I’m a little disappointed by it. The concept is a good one: the mayor hires a PI to see if his wife is cheating on him, and when it turns out she is she turns up dead, and all evidence points to the mayor. Good stuff. The mayor then comes after the PI to tie up loose ends.
But this poster just makes it look like a shitty Mark Wahlberg movie. He shouldn’t be holding a gun and he should have a more noir look to him. Too bad.
