New trailers for The Avengers, Neighborhood Watch and Piranha 3DD, pics and a poster from On the Road and Frankenweenie, and casting for Old Boy.
The Avengers new trailer is here, and it is pretty freaking sweet. My favorite thing, besides EVERYTHING, is that when Iron Man just struts into the picture, we all know he’s the badass rock star of this mofo. AND I LIKE IT. I LIKE IT. I LIKE IT I LIKE IT.
Oh, and I LIKE IT.
You know what’s great? When you get a trailer, like one for say… Neighborhood Watch, and it makes very little sense, tells you very very little about the plot, and doesn’t make you laugh, even though they’re trying VERY hard to make you laugh.
I’m going to talk about this trailer for Piranha 3DD through quotes.
“First of all, I’m not a lifeguard. Never was.”
“People are dying.”
And… most important:
“Whatever it is, I don’t like it.”
Wow. Wowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowowow. Wow.
On the Road is based on the classic novel by Jack Kerouac, and for some reason they decided to cast Kristen Stewart. Great. It’s kinda autobiographical as I understand it, so maybe Kerouac had a lifeless friend who couldn’t act but wanted to eat her own face by chewing on her lip too much. Maybe.
Frankenweenie has a new picture, and if you weren’t clear that this is a Tim Burton film, well… you can be sure now. This is actually what I look like without makeup.
Spike Lee’s remake of Old Boy, which is set to star Josh Brolin as the old… boy, is supposedly considering Elizabeth Olsen as the female lead. Before it was Rooney Mara, who I prefer, but Ms. Olsen isn’t bad. She’s the talented one. Who knew?
