A new poster for Taken 2, featurettes for Total Recall and The Bourne Legacy, a new trailer for The Possession and some spoilerish news about The Wolverine.

Taken 2‘s new poster seems to really want to sell us the film on a combination of the new setting, Istanbul, and Liam Neeson with a gun.

SOLD.

Also, it seems my high school French didn’t stick, so I’ll just have to guess at the tag line’s translation. “When you’re Taken 2: The Streets, he’ll come for you and shove that gun up your pooper, thus causing an uncomfortable sensation. Then he’ll pull the trigger, cause he has a particular set of skills that make him a nightmare when shoving his gun up poopers.”

French really is a precise language. They said all of that in seven words. Well done, sirs.

The Bourne Legacy

The Bourne Legacy has a featurette that focuses on what’s going on in the world in general, and how this film ties into the previous Bourne films. From the other films you know that there are other agents, but the idea of parallel programs that are similar yet still distinct is kinda cool. I know there’s something going on with changes to main character Aaron Cross’s biology that might make him stronger than regular men, which I’m not the biggest fan of (I like these guys just being highly trained, not actual super soldiers) but it’s still fairly intriguing to see that we’re getting something genuinely different this time around.

Total Recall

Total Recall has a new featurette that focuses on the action, mainly an early sequence where Colin Farrell discovers he has certain fighting skills. I honestly thought they’d CGI’d the entire scene when I saw it in the trailers, but it seems they used special camera rigs to make the image move in the way it does. Very cool. Very interesting.

The Possession

The Possession has a new trailer that FINALLY gets a decent exorcist on the scene. Matisyahu.

YEAH. IT’S A JEWISH DEMON. It’ll probably steal the little girl’s soul AND start a deli.

Get her a loan?

Circumcise her boyfriend?

I only have one more stereotype that I can think of, and it’s less a stereotype and more something awful. Let’s reflect on what I’ve said during my tenure here at StarSeeker so that we can appreciate how horrible what I just thought must have been.

Anyways, that’s what I get from this trailer for The Possession.

The Wolverine

With all the casting lately for The Wolverine it’s not surprising that they’re getting close to actually shooting the thing, and along with this is the development of some new sets. They’re being built in Australia, though the film is mostly set in Japan. The intriguing bit of news is that they are apparently WWII POW Camps. Not sure if that means Wolverine gets stuck in a camp or if he goes all Rambo on their asses and frees some Americans, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him kick some samurai sword-wielding Japanese.
