Posters like crazy for John Carter, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, The Avengers, Chronicle and The Hunger Games, also pics from The Amazing Spider-Man and a new trailer for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
John Carter has a new poster that really showcases his fight with the polar bears of Mars. Or at least that’s what I’m calling them. Big, weird looking monkeys would also have worked.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter has two new posters, and they’re pretty cool. They have finally made me realize how awesome a top hat is when fighting the undead. No wonder those Blade movies weren’t as cool as I thought they should have been!
These Avengers banner posters aren’t all that hot. Does it look like Scarlett Johansson has been cut in half, but in a way that’s supposed to make her look thinner, but really just makes her look like half a woman? It does to me.
And Loki isn’t an Avenger.
I’ll admit that the trailer for Chronicle looked better than I’d have guessed, and the concept could be really cool, especially if done by someone working in an more independent fashion.
Unfortunately, it’s being made by MTV. Suck it, quality-lovers.
The Hunger Games has a new poster, and it’s okay, I suppose. I’ll admit the filmmakers continue to do the story justice. It just happens that the story wasn’t all that hot.
There are quite a few pics up today from The Amazing Spider-Man, but they all look photoshopped to death. And who wears a skateboard on their back? Is this a thing? I never really skateboarded, so I don’t know, but it sure seems like a lame way to make Peter seem cool. LAME.
This new Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance trailer is awesome. It gives me everything I want in a movie about a guy with a flaming skull head and a motorcycle. That said, all it really gives is a dude with a flaming skull head and a motorcycle, but that’s WHAT I WANT.
