New posters for Snitch and After Earth, trailers for Scary Movie 5, The Place Beyond the Pines, and Django Unchained, and pics from Star Trek Into Darkness and Elysium.
About three feet, then I’d give up and say he’s on his own.
Huh? Oh, I was just answering the question from this new poster for Snitch, starring THE ROCK.
I bet he’d go farther than me to save his son. But wouldn’t the film be more interesting if he didn’t? Maybe he could go two and a half feet, and just sit down and mourn the loss of his son. Then the rest of the film is about him coming to grips with his cowardice.
After Earth has a new poster that explains the film’s premise: a father and son come back to Earth, on accident, and they have a spaceship, but must face off with nature.
Scary Movie 5
Scary Movie 5 has a new trailer, and it is HILARIOUS. I mean, a mother smacks her baby’s head against a door frame! Charlie Sheen gets hit in the balls! REPEATEDLY! Clearly, these filmmakers know comedy.
This shit is gold.
Django Unchained comes out tomorrow, but that didn’t stop the marketing folks from making a new trailer. I’m excited. You should be excited. But we should all be excited for ice cream.
Wait, that’s ‘scream.’ I scream and you scream. Shit.
On a side note, I’m REALLY looking forward to the sequel to Django Unchained, which will be called Django OFF THE HOOK!
Which will be followed by Django Underwear. Then Django Undeclared: College Days (this will be the comedy in the series, where Django tries to decide what to major in when he gets an education).
The Place Beyond the Pines
The Place Beyond the Pines has a new trailer, and it looks really good. I’m especially impressed by Gosling, who plays a character whose intelligence doesn’t appear to be particularly high. I’m always impressed to see an actor play stupid. I mean, don’t get me wrong, they’re all probably retarded to begin with, but to play stupid on camera in a serious way is a difficult task, and he’s pulling it off!
Star Trek Into Darkness
Star Trek Into Darkness has a bunch of new pictures today, and they run the gamut from turdsville to decent. The turds are the covers from the Empire magazine from which these shots come from. I don’t like the way Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Pine look. Pine looks like a prick, and Cumberbatch looks like he’s made of plastic. The shots from the film itself look a lot better, especially the shot with Alice Eve. Yowza.
Elysium has a new pic of the bad guy from the film, played by Sharlto Copley. He looks good, and I like that director Neill Blomkamp is really giving Copley a lot of work, especially interesting work. Copley was a completely unknown actor before District 9, and he was awesome in that. Now he has a chance to play a scary bad dude. Cool stuff.
