Trailers for Prometheus, Bel Ami and Goon, Avengers format news, and a pic from the set of Cloud Atlas.
Prometheus
After giving us pretrailers and other assorted crap I didn’t want, Prometheus finally has its first trailer, and it looks pretty sweet. It definitely looks like a prequel to Alien though, so Ridley Scott saying that was just part of the inspiration doesn’t seem right to me. I think it’s full on Alien.
Also, this rocks like crazy.
Bel Ami
Bel Ami also has a trailer, and get ready, ladies, because it stars Twilight’s Robert Pattinson has a total player who goes from poor reporter to king of the world, or to a rich guy in Paris, by sleeping with lots of hot broads. I’m sold. I just wish I hadn’t sold the rights to my life story for a bag of magic beans.
Goon
The new trailer for Goon, the Sean William Scott hockey movie, is up, and it looks okay. Although, as a jaded blogger, I’m not sold. I need more fighting and stuff.
The Avengers
I thought this was already official, but today Marvel Studios has announced that The Avengers will play in 3D upon its release in May. It will also play in 2D, so those of you who don’t want to waste your money on this crap can be smart and see it like a normal person.
Canadians can see the 3D.
Cloud Atlas
Cloud Atlas has finished principle photography, and there’s a pic of the directors, some of the crew and presumably props from the film, up today. Who’s that hot chick in the middle with the purple hair?
Oh. That’s a dude. Who became a chick. And isn’t really hot. I was being funny. Um… Mission successful.
