Not a ton of news, but there is an early look at the trailer for Immortals (which I now think will rock all kinds of awesome), a pic from the set of The Avengers, a new pic of Captain America, and two clips from Priest.
Immortals
Immortals, starring the new Superman Henry Cavill, is about to have its trailer premiere, and E News has a clip from the trailer. Don’t worry that it looks a bit 300-esque. It’s directed by Tarsem Singh, who is a fantastic director, if a bit underrated. The film looks pretty cool. I’m excited (feel these nipples!)
The Avengers
Marvel’s The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon and starring Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and The Hulk, began filming yesterday. To mark this momentous occasion, a pic from the set has been released. The eagle symbol in the background is the shield of S.H.I.E.L.D. I know it isn’t much, but I’m actually pretty excited for The Avengers, so I’ll be giving you every little thing I find. You’re welcome.
Captain America
Speaking of Avengers, there’s a new pic of Captain America up, and I have to say, that shield looks dinged. I think he may have been blocking bullets. One question: How stupid are the bad guys that they don’t shoot him in the legs? This is one of those unanswerable questions, like “how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?”
Priest
I’m still undecided about Priest. It doesn’t look bad, but I doubt it’ll have any substance. Oh well, enjoy these two clips.
