Trailers for Looper and Red Lights, a film clip for The Dictator, photos for The Dark Knight Rises, a featurette for The Avengers and possible casting for The Counselor.
Looper
After the stupid teasers, the trailer for Looper is finally here, and I need a cigarette, because it was just THAT GOOD. Actually, it really was a pretty darn good trailer, and the film looks interesting and cool.
Red Lights
Oddly, the only problem I have with Red Lights is Robert De Niro. Obviously, the man has talent galore, but I don’t think he cares or is trying anymore, and it sorta shows. Check out the trailer and tell me I’m wrong.
The Dictator
The Dictator has its first film clip, and I swear I’ve heard this joke before. Maybe it was even from Sacha Baron Cohen, in which case, it’s… okay? I don’t know. Unoriginal is unoriginal.
The Dark Knight Rises
The Dark Knight Rises is featured heavily in Entertainment Weekly this week, and a bunch of cool new photos are up, including one of Batman using an iPad. Let’s be honest, if you had to choose between fighting crime and doodlejump, which would you choose? I rest my case.
- Batman with an iPad
- Bane kicking some butt
- Shall we Dance, Mr. Wayne? Dark Knight Rises
- Nice Robe, Mr. Wayne / Nice Bow Tie, Dickhead
- Drat! All out of popsicles!
- I’m gonna shoot this ground. I SWEAR I WILL!!
The Avengers
The Avengers has a new featurette up, and it’s sorta refreshing because it isn’t just about how unprecedented the film is, but rather it’s about how these different people have to come together to fix the world. Not bad. I prefer this to more boring crap about how awesome Marvel is.
Though Marvel IS awesome.
The Counselor
A few days back it was rumored that Angelina Jolie may be taking a part in The Counselor, and it appears her boyfriend may also be up for a film in the Ridley Scott film. Brad Pitt and possibly even Javier Bardem are said to be in talks to join the film, which will be headlined by Michael Fassbender.
Cool.

The Dictator looks unwatchable, how does that hack keep putting out movies?
