Pics from John Carter, Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters and Wrath of the Titans, a new trailer for The Grey, a film clip from Mission: Impossible, and possible casting for Ender’s Game.

John Carter

Man, we seem to be getting something new from John Carter everyday. After yesterday’s new trailer we have new pics from the John Carter of Mars movie, and it’s looking cool. He’s like a superhero, but he was in books, and not comic books.

I can do all that super stuff though. Cause I’m a badass.

Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters

I’ll admit I’m skeptical about Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters at present. The film looks okay, but that’s mainly because of Jeremy Renner playing Hansel. For those who don’t know, it’s Hansel and Gretel all grown up and hunting down the witches who tried to kill them as kids.

And they’re in leather, as any good killer of witches should be.

Wrath of the Titans

So there’s an official pic up from Wrath of the Titans, and it looks AMAZING. If ‘amazing’ means stupid and just like the terrible first one.

BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!!!

An official synopsis is also up, which I’ll lovingly post below.

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus—the demigod son of Zeus—is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year old son, Helius.

Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon. The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.

Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’ godly son, Ares (Edgar Ramírez), switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus. The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’ remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth.

Enlisting the help of the warrior Queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son, Argenor (Toby Kebbell), and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy), Perseus bravely embarks on a treacherous quest into the underworld to rescue Zeus, overthrow the Titans and save mankind.

The Grey

I bet the sequel to The Grey will be called The Gray. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I’m funny wit words n’ crayons. Happy Halloween!

Oh, back to sanity. There’s a new trailer for The Grey, and it looks okay. I’m not terribly excited by the film, but it’s Liam Neeson, and he’s been kicking some ass lately, so I’m cool with this.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol has a new film clip, pretty much building up the big stunt in the movie with Tom Cruise jumping off a building. I’m honestly not all that excited. Maybe if it was for real and he just fell.

That would be interesting.

“I love Scientology and I’ll become a…” SPLAT.

Ender’s Game

Hailee Steinfeld, of True Grit fame, is now rumored to be taking the part of Petra Arkanian in Ender’s Game. Petra is one of Ender’s gish (I may have misspelled that, I’m not checking), or team of child soldiers, and helps him become the hero he’s destined to be. Sorta.

She should be fine. I’m actually sorta hopeful for the film now. Her possible casting and Asa Butterfield (from Hugo) as Ender make this a reasonably well-cast film. It might be decent.
