Plot details for Resident Evil, Byzantium and Hunger Games pics, a poster for Chronicle, casting for Riddick, and a film clip from Haywire.
Resident Evil: Retribution
Resident Evil: Retribution is coming out this September, and while it’s still a ways away, Sony has released a new synopsis so we can all get ready for this cinematic masterpiece. Oh, and if you don’t feel like reading it, basically it sounds EXACTLY like the plot of the other films.
The wildly successful film franchise adaptation that has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide to the popular video game series, “Resident Evil,” returns in its highly anticipated fifth installment, “Resident Evil: Retribution” in state-of-the art 3D.
The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.
EXACTLY the same.
Byzantium
Byzantium is about a hot mother-daughter pair of vampires, which probably explains why Gemma Arterton has blood all over her face, but I like to think that British chicks just have a far worse “that time of the month” than American broads.
You don’t want to know what happens in Canada. Let’s just say you’d need a massive amount of Mr. Clean, a powerful firehose, and some hair gel.
The hair gel is to stay looking cool. Like you do.

Hunger Games
Hey look! A new Hunger Games pic! Why are they wearing the clothes of the bad guys from an 80′s teen movie about gymnastics? You’ll just have to see the film to find out!

Chronicle
Chronicle has a new poster out today, this time courtesy of France. I didn’t notice the car upside down on the needle in the back for a long while. This should be embarrassing, but I could give a monkey turd. I think the French stuff says, “The Abuse of superpowers is dangerous for health.”
Riddick
Lots o’ Riddick news lately. Today’s is that Jordi Molla will be playing the bad guy in the film. His character’s name is Santana, and he is a merc trying to catch Riddick.
Also, he’s great at guitar. I’m guessing.
Haywire
It seems the first five minutes of Haywire is online. That’s five more minutes than I’d planned on watching, but oh well. At least it was free. Okay, I’ll at least admit I liked how loud the gunshots were. Oh. Spoiler.
