Movie news for Ender’s Game, Batman, The Avengers & More!

Casting for Ender’s Game and 300: Battle of Artemisia, a poster for Rock of Ages, trailers for The Dark Knight Rises, a pretrailer for Prometheus, and a German trailer for The Avengers. Lots of types of trailers. Huh.

Ender’s Game

Ender’s Game has cast Brendan Meyer in the role of Stilson. For those who haven’t read the books, Stilson is a rival of Ender’s on Earth before traveling to Battle School. It is in large part because of how he treats Stilson, and why, that Ender is drafted into the school. I’ll say no more.

300: Battle of Artemisia

300: Battle of Artemisia is pretty close to casting Eva Green for the role Artemisia, I think. I just checked Artemisia on Wikipedia, and I think she was a commander under Xerxes, the bad guy from the first film. So I guess she’ll be the bad guy.

Rock of Ages

Following last week’s new poster for Rock of Ages, there’s also a new poster, and it really makes me think of a guitar as a penis. Which is appropriate, since this movie will likely fuck me.

The Dark Knight Rises

FINALLY, the new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, and it’s pretty cool. I’ll admit I’m not as excited as when I saw the first trailers for The Dark Knight, but this just doesn’t have the performance from Heath Ledger as the Joker. I think Tom Hardy’s Bane is going to be cool, it just won’t live up to the Joker.

Prometheus

It appears that the first trailer for Prometheus, Ridley Scott’s no doubt badass new science fiction horror film, will play with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. There’s a pretrailer below, which is kinda cool, and shows some footage.

But first, I’m going to blow your mind. Yeah. You MIND. The trailer for Prometheus, which stars the Swedish star of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, is going to play in front of the American version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. MIND. BLOWN.

The Avengers

The Avengers has a new trailer, and it’s all in German, so I’m pretty sure they’re saying, “Blah blah blah, Assemble, blah blah blah, Scarlet Johansson’s rack, blah.” You may not realize this, but I sometimes work as a German translator. I’m such a cool guy.
