A new poster for Dredd, casting for Thor 2 and Robocop, a pic from Pacific Rim, and videos from The Amazing Spider-Man.
Dredd is a badass. How do I know? He only poses for photos in the darkest of rooms. Like a badass.
Judgement is coming. Hell yeah it is.
Thor 2 is apparently going to need to do a bit of recasting. Joshua Dallas played one of the warrior’s three in the original film, he was the swordsman with the sweet mustache, but unfortunately the actor is committed to a role on the TV Show Once Upon a Time and can not return for his role in the sequel. I suggest casting me. I look sweet in a mustache.
And my sword is quite impressive.
The wife of Alex Murphy, the cop who becomes Robocop, was a pretty small role in the original film but it seems her part will be fleshed out a little more in the reboot, and what better flesh to use than Abbie Cornish’s?
See what I did there? I called her hot with a sweet pun. I am so witty.
Not sure how much her role will really matter, or if Robowife will see any action, but she’s proven herself quite nicely with films like Sucker Punch, so I think Ms. Cornish will be just fine.
Guillermo Del Toro’s next big action film, Pacific Rim, is going to be coming out in just about 13 months, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a picture. The film, which is essentially Godzilla meets Voltron, which is also essentially just The Power Rangers, has aliens invading Earth, and the human forces get into giant mechs (big robots) and fight them. Idris Elba is one of the human fighters, and he’s apparently in his uniform. He wears a helmet, which seems useless to me. If something smashes through the robot’s armor, will a helmet really matter?
The Amazing Spider-Man
The Amazing Spider-Man is just a few weeks away, and very little of The Lizard has been shown so far. Which is a smart move in my opinion, as movies these days give away too much. Well, prepare for a little more to be given away. We have two videos today that focus on Dr. Curt Connors and his alter ego, The Lizard. Good stuff.
