Byzantium

Byzantium has a new film clip that shows Saoirse Ronan clearly likes the blood. This makes sense, as she’s a vampire. A young, sexy vampire. Yeah.

This clip is actually quite horrible. We haven’t even had a trailer yet. I don’t care about this partial scene. Boring. I want a trailer. I really liked director Neil Jordan’s other vampire film, Interview with the Vampire, and I expect similarly good things here. One can only hope.

Twilight: The Turds Runeth Deep Part Deux

Really? How in the frack is this successful? This latest trailer for Twilight: Breaking Wind Part Two actually looks worse than the other films. I didn’t see Part One, but I’ve seen a few of these and they just can’t help but be horrid. No no no no no.

I do like the idea that this is all a metaphor for Mormonism though, and the Cullens are an off-shoot of that faith that allows dog boning or something, and when they have a family member with an abomination (which must mean a black person or something racist) the main church leaders try to kill them.

That’s actually not a bad story. Nice one, Twilight.

The Silver Linings Playbook

The Silver Linings Playbook has a new poster that makes pretty good use of the handsomeness of Bradley Cooper and the prettiness of Jennifer Lawrence. I actually really like the way she looks here. I know some guys say they’d “Hit it and quit it,” but I have class.

I’d use it and lose it. That ho’ be hounded for a pounded.

The Silver Linings Playbook is about a guy and girl who both have pretty messed up mental issues. The guy just got out of a psych hospital for severe depression, and the girl is a skank or something. I stopped paying attention when she came on screen during the trailer and I just thought about how pretty she is. Sigh*

Gambit

Well, it appears beauty doesn’t age terribly well. I’m not saying Cameron Diaz doesn’t look decent in this new poster for Gambit, but she’s been photoshopped in an extreme way and I can still see the years. Plus, when you consider how insanely hot she used to be, this is sorta obvious.

And what’s up with the bracelets?

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has cast Jeffrey Wright as Beetee, aka Volts, in the sequel to this year’s The Hunger Games.

Volts is very clever with electronics, which is how he won his own edition of The Hunger Games. He’s from District 3 and in the book he and Katniss fall in love.

Just kidding, she kills him with a spoonful of acid.
