New posters for The Wolverine and Bullet to the Head, film clips from The Hobbit and Django Unchained, and trailers for Zero Dark Thirty and The Last Stand.
The Wolverine has a new poster that’s pretty cool. But I have a question: why does he have a sword? I know he has a sword on occasion but he has claws. You can even see the claws. Why not claw people? That would work. I don’t think he even needs to sharpen them.
Bullet to the Head
Bullet to the Head has a new poster too, and this one has a fantastic catch phrase that I’m going to use when I’m a muscley old guy who has horrible tattoos: “Revenge Never Gets Old.”
That shit is funny. Cause I think he’s pretty old. He’s even getting that old man neck thing.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has a new film clip that shows Gandalf convincing Bilbo to go on the quest to reclaim the Dwarves’ homeland. I don’t fully understand why Gandalf wanted this little guy along. I know the trailers say because Bilbo gives him courage, but that’s a stupid reason in my opinion. I kinda get why he had Frodo take the ring to Mordor. Ultimately, he was a good choice and was capable of holding onto the ring, which would have no doubt corrupted others. But why take Bilbo on this… unexpected journey?
Django Unchained has two new film clips. The first shows Django, played by Jamie Foxx, confronting the bad guy plantation owner, played by Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s a good clip, and shows the racism of the day, as Django gives a very slight challenge to the white man and is nearly in serious trouble for it.
The second film clip shows Christopher Waltz’s bounty hunter character trying to calm down Django, but Django don’t GET CALMED DOWN. NO HE DON’T NO HE DON’T.
Zero Dark Thirty
Zero Dark Thirty has a new trailer that’s pretty cool. The first part has stuff I’ve seen before, but the rest of it seems to really show how tough the job was for those hunting Osama Bin Laden, and how these same people were such targets during this time. They were attacked and many were nearly killed. Some were actually killed. This is by far the best trailer for this film yet, and it’s certainly made me interested.
The Last Stand
The Last Stand has a new trailer that’s not half bad, but they still show Schwarzenegger’s stupid catch phrase from the film, “I’m the sheriff.”
Not exactly, “I’ll be back.” But I guess it’ll do.
This still looks way better than Bullet to the Head.
