Trailer news for The Dark Knight Rises, casting for Iron Man 3, pics from Les Miserables and The Lone Ranger, another film clip from The Avengers, a TV Spot for Dark Shadows, and posters for GI Joe and House at the End of the Street.

The Dark Knight Rises

I actually was thinking this would happen, but it appears more or less official that a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will play with The Avengers. Hopefully it’ll be online May 4th as well. Then I can watch it a MILLION times and tell you what I think.

A second piece of The Dark Knight Rises news came out today about the amount of IMAX footage in the film, which is apparently roughly one full hour of the movie! That’s quite of bit of IMAX footage, and I believe the most of any popular film. Cool.

Iron Man 3

Iron Man 3 is said to be closing in on Ben Kingsley as one of the villains of the film, but Guy Pearce may be the other villain. It’s looking more and more likely that the Extremis storyline, which is awesome as crap, will be the basis for the film, so Pearce would play a pioneer in the field of bio-electronics.

Essentially, the Extremis story is about a new ‘virus’ that’s developed that changes people on a genetic level to be part machine. It makes them stronger, faster and more. In the comic Iron Man is eventually dosed with the Extremis virus, and it bonds him with his suit. It was an awesome comic with sweet art. I still want Mandarin as the villain, but I’m cool with Extremis.

Les Miserables

Why is Wolverine singing with Catwoman? I’m not sure, but that appears to be the case in these new Les Miserables photos.

Also, who shaved Catwoman?

The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger has been shooting for a little while, and while there’s been one photo thus far of The Ranger himself and Johnny Depp as Tonto, we’ve yet to see much of the sets. This is now changed. A whole town was constructed for the film, and I do believe it looks thoroughly westerny. IT’S A WORD. Westerny. Look it up. But not in one of your fancy college dictionaries. Use a smart guy word book like mes. That’s a ‘me’ with an ‘s’ on the end of it.

FROM ONE OF MY BOOKS.

The Avengers

The Avengers has a new film clip of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner talking to Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow. It’s actually really cool, though it doesn’t show any action. I love that when Banner raises his voice the Black Widow pulls a gun and looks scared as crap. It’s a good to see they’re treating Banner the right way. He’s essentially a bomb that’s about to go off. And that gun won’t do much to him. Cool.

Dark Shadows

Dark Shadows has a new TV spot, and it’s one of the better spots for the film yet, as it looks sorta funny. Most of the others have been less than stellar. But it gets SOOOO much better in the last seconds, when the Japanese voiceover comes in. Sweet. I hope that’s in the film.

GI Joe: Retaliation

GI Joe 2: Retaliation has a couple new posters, one combining a ninja, Bruce Willis and The Rock (best poster EVER), and the other has some confused looking dude with a gun. I always want my confused dudes armed. It’s just good business.

House at the End of the Street

House at the End of the Street has a nice new poster that shows how supple and full Jennifer Lawrence’s lips are. MMMMM…

Yowza.
