Melancholia is Lars Von Trier’s latest film about two sisters who have a tough relationship and are trying to work it out. Oh, and there’s another planet that’s about to collide with Earth. That too.
Seriously, watch the trailer. It’s pretty beautiful. Even with Kirsten Dunst. It’s pretty depressing too. Almost like it’s making me feel… Melancholy!
I’m pretty sure when a planet is about to hit Earth Superman shows up and saves the day. I’m pretty sure.
Melancholia is being written and directed by Lars Von Trier, who combines arty, thoughtful films with rampant Naziism. Huh? Well, he’s not exactly a Nazi, he just compares most of humanity to Nazis and refuses to back down. He did say he sympathized with Hitler…
What the shit?!?

The trailer looks stunning, and I can’t wait to watch it over and over again to see if it’s really about Hitler!

It stars Kirsten Dunst. That’s all. That’s enough.
Our Clever Prediction
I’m thinking Melancholia won’t make much. Maybe it would have, but then the director sympathized WITH HITLER. Sheesh.
