Oh, you have made me happy, very happy indeed. There’s a Marvin the Martian movie in the works! (which you probably figured when clicking the link to this post…) The film stars the lovable Martian in a live action/cgi mashup similar to the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. Now you’ve made me angry, very angry indeed. (like in the pic)

The film is to be directed by Alex Zamm, whose previous work includes Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2(wtf?) and Inspector Gadget 2. Angry indeed.

Who’s It For?

I’d say G.

2011

Who’s In It?

Mike Meyers… Marvin the Martian

Related Movies

Alvin and the Chipmunks, Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, Scooby-Doo, Marmaduke, Garfield.

What’s Good About It?

Marvin the Martian is pretty cool, and is one of those characters that a lot of people can draw well. (What? It applies) I think it could be a decent movie if it doesn’t go the half live action route, and if they recast Marvin. I want authentic Marvin, not Mike Meyers’ doing a retarded Scottish version!

What’s Bad About It?

I think I already described the film. Seriously, there needn’t be any prognosticating on this one. If I wanted to hate myself, I’d eat an entire ice cream cake alone in a closet while reading the book version of Sex and the City 2, with Carrie on the cover with her fabulous sunglasses and wonderful dress. (Don’t think about why that’s so oddly specific)

Our Clever Prediction

Hmm. Yes, very curious. Very interesting. I do so hope this film doesn’t suck, but then there’s that combination of crap director, Mike Meyers, and a live action/cgi mashup that makes me queasy. I’m not angry, just terribly, terribly hurt.
