I mean, no offense to The Slammin’ Salmon, Tales from the Script or The Descent: Part 2, but April is going to be lacking some serious rentals. Once you get past Avatar, the only other DVD’s I can recommend this month are The Lovely Bones, The Yes Men Fix the World and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans.

March 2010 doesn’t look too bad for DVD releases. You’ll get to see the odd big hit such as ‘2012′, ‘Precious’ and ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ which is something to look forward to. Later in March, The Men Who Stare at Goats comes to DVD.

For the kids, March 2010 will haveThe Princess and the Frog, Planet 51, Astro Boy and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

BTW, don’t miss ‘Brothers’ which is coming to DVD March 2nd, it’s quite a good movie.

To be expected, February 2010 has a few notable romances being released on DVD, in time for Valentines day, including Couples Retreat, Love Happens (starring Jennifer Aniston), The Time Traveler’s Wife and perhaps the biggest romantic flop of 2009 Serious Moonlight.

On the other side of the genre, we look forward to the DVD release of The Informant!, starring Matt Damon, and don’t miss Crude. This Documentary focuses on the lawsuit by tens of thousands of Ecuadorans against Chevron over contamination of the Ecuadorean Amazon.

Honestly, besides ‘This Is It’, January is a pretty weak month for DVD releases. Halloween 2 and The Final Destination complete the latest shitty horror releases.
