Amigo (2011)

Amigo is, sadly, NOT a sequel to The Three Amigos, and I suspect it will not be even One Third as funny. It’s about an American garrison in the Philippines in the year 1900. Fun.

A fictional account of events during the Philippine-American War. Essentially, its about American forces occupying a village and learning to communicate/live with the natives. I already said this, but… fun.

Amigo is written/directed by John Sayles, who has been nominated for two Oscars, both for writing, one for Lone Star, the other for Passion Fish. Watch the trailer. The writing may be fine, but it doesn’t appear to be very well acted/shot.
