A Haunted House 2 parodies the Facebook Your Life thing for some reason, Neighbors has 2 new TV spots, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 makes us all fall for him, Captain America: The Winter Soldier keeps teasing us (both for this weekend’s film AND Avengers: Age of Ultron), Godzilla wants the whole truth and possibly nothing but it, X-Men: Days of Future Past gives us a new TV spot with some decent footage, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes does a nice job teasing us, and The Other Woman shakes some titties!
A Haunted House 2
I was going to ask why A Haunted House 2 chose to parody the recent Facebook “Your Life” thing, but then I thought, “Hey, this is a Marlon Wayans film. There doesn’t need to BE a reason.”
After that, I accepted the lowering of my intelligence and just went along for the ride. I feel lighter.
Neighbors has a couple new TV spots today, and they aren’t half bad. They’re showing quite a few of the jokes from the film, and I like that they show, ACCURATELY, that Rose Byrne is into the impressive bod of sir Zach Efron. What lady wouldn’t be? I mean, STUD ALERT. But I digress.
What does digress mean again? And I turning food into poo? I have indigression.
And I KNOW WHAT DIGESTION IS, I MADE A WIT DA FUNNY. Yeesh. You’re welcome. A-holes.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has a new film clip of him swinging around the city, and it shows quite a few instances of him just falling toward the ground. It’s actually really cool, and does a great job of making you feel what it would be like – at least a bit – to be Spider-Man. It certainly shows some thoughtfulness on the part of the filmmakers to try some new stuff when showing him swing around the city.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Captain America: The Winter Soldier has a new TV spot that does a nice job of showcasing both the action of the film, as well as Steve Roger’s (Captain America) struggles in the film with defining who to trust and what the right thing to do is. And it shows some Scarlett Johansson. THAT is always a good thing.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron
The Avengers: Age of Ultron has started shooting, and right now they’re filming in South Korea. Why? I don’t know. Money. BUT, there’s a new spy video out today that gives us a nice view of the costume Captain America will have in the film. It looks pretty close to what we’ve seen for The Winter Soldier, and it’s closer to the original film’s suit than what they used for The Avengers. This is a good thing, since even though they pulled off the suit from The Avengers, it was less badass than the more military-style costume we’re seeing here. Good stuff.
Godzilla has a new poster today that demands to know the truth. What truth? Probably about Area 51. Or maybe the many conspiracies floating around in my head. For instance, did you know the latest Spider-Man film caused ALL of the global warming from 2002? I KNOW. Shocking.
X-Men: Days of Future Past
Since the new trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past gave a bunch of new footage and story details, the cat is sort of out of the bag for the movie, which means the marketing department can make TV spots using much of the cool new footage. This particular spot doesn’t have a whole host of new footage, but there are little moments here and there that are cool. Hopefully there’s a bunch more where this came from.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has a new TV spot and poster today, both of which make a case for the film’s CGI being incredible. Of course, that’s to be expected, but this is still exceptional. Wow. I like the idea that the film is set a bit forward in time, and that humanity isn’t really wiped out by the apes, but rather a disease, and the apes just finish the job. I also like that with their improved intellect the apes are biologically superior to humans, with less need of warmth and shelter than we are. Plus, they’re like, really strong.
The Other Woman
The Other Woman has a new film clip today debuting Kate Upton’s rack. It’s a great rack. Big. Bouncy. Jiggly. Soft. Oh yeah. And there’s some shots of her butt, which has similar adjectives readily able to define it. Good stuff. It makes me happy… downstairs.
