We Are Mortals is a science fiction thriller about a soldier fighting aliens in a futuristic war who keeps reliving his last day on the battlefield.

Not a ton of details are available right now on We Are Mortals, but Tom Cruise is said to be the star, with Doug Liman directing.

Another possible title for the film is All You Need is Kill, and the soldier in question is a new recruit who keeps getting killed, though as he goes along he learns more skills, and may, at some point, learn enough to change his fate.

Like I said, Doug Liman is directing, with Tom Cruise likely to star. The story is based on a novel by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, and has been adapted for the screen by D.W. Harper and Joby Harold.

What’s Good About It?

The story sounds okay, and I like Doug Liman. I even sorta enjoyed Jumper, and that’s surprising.

What’s Bad About It?

Too little to say right now.

Our Clever Prediction

If Tom Cruise ends up actually starring in We are Mortals, then I think it’ll do well. Liman has a lot of projects in the works though, so I’m not holding my breath that We are Mortals will get made.
