The World’s Ed is the final chapter in Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s trilogy of comedies that started with Shaun of the Dead and continued with Hot Fuzz. World’s End follows 5 friends who attempted a legendary pub crawl 20 years ago and are coming together to try it again.
Simon Pegg will play Gary King, a guy who is still acting like a teenager though he’s now 40. He convinces his friends to attempt the bar crawl and reach the far off and challenging to reach World’s End pub. And they learn something about growing up and moving on with their lives along the way.
I’m just guessing that last part, but come on. I’m always right.

Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg cowrote World’s End and Wright will be directing.

Simon Pegg … Gary King
Nick Frost … Andy Knight
What’s Good About It?
I loved both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, and Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World was really good too. I can’t wait to see their grand finale!
What’s Bad About It?
To be fair, Hot Fuzz was not as good as Shaun of the Dead, and none of the films have done particularly well at the box office.
Our Clever Prediction
Much like Spaced, which made Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright their big breaks, I think The World’s End will have a cult following in the US and a decent box office in England.
